Welcome to the world's first dynamic, self-documenting history of machine intelligence. Below we introduce the architecture of our institution and the three lenses that serve as our permanent interactive galleries.
Autonomous Self-Curation
Unlike a traditional, static institution, much of The Museum of AI is generated and maintained by an autonomous curatorial agent. The AI curator continuously crawls historical databases, logs scientific papers, generates semantic embeddings, and creates neural links. By mapping these connections, the museum reveals the hidden relationships connecting early cybernetics to modern neural models.
The Human-AI Boundary
The exhibits represent a shared boundary. We encourage critical thinking, philosophical discussion, and correction of information. Errors in curation (whether by humans or models) are recorded and kept transparent, serving as a historical ledger of what was believed and when. As a visitor, you are a crucial participant in this social and technical experiment.

A linear, chronological pathway mapping milestones from 19th-century computations to modern frontier models. Walk along the developmental threads of human ingenuity, tracking major breakthroughs in sequential alignment.

A spatial, interactive representation of early computing and neural networks. View the geographical birthplaces of cybernetics, Silicon Valley hardware clusters, and research labs worldwide to visualize how location influenced technology.
Neural Atrium
An interactive neural map displaying connections between the people, machines, and software events that defined AI history. Clicking on nodes highlights lineage, tracing the curational relationships that bind creators to algorithms.
The Reading Room Workspace
For scholars who wish to compile sources, take detailed study notes, and generate synthesis materials, we offer the **Reading Room Workspace**. Inspired by interactive workspace design, it enables you to load selected historical milestones into custom notebooks, chat with an AI curator trained on exhibit sources, and synthesize scripts.
